Straight answers to the questions we hear most
If your question is not here, give us a call. We are happy to help even if you do not end up booking us.
What size hot water unit do I need?+
It depends on how many people live in the house and whether you are on gas or electric. As a starting point for a family of four, look at 125 to 160 litres for continuous electric, 250 to 315 litres for off peak electric, 135 to 170 litres for gas storage, or a 25 to 32 litre per minute instantaneous gas unit. We size every system to your actual use.
Gas or electric hot water?+
If your home already has natural gas, a gas system usually runs cheaper and recovers faster. If you are all electric, off peak storage or a heat pump is often the better fit. We look at your fuel connections, hot water usage and roof position before recommending a system.
What plumbing system is right for me?+
Every home is different. The right answer depends on your household size, fuel connections, existing pipework and how you actually use hot water and fixtures. We take a proper look before recommending anything, so you do not end up paying for something oversized or under spec.
Do you give upfront quotes?+
Yes. Every job is quoted in writing before we start work, so the price you agree to is the price you pay. No surprises when we finish.
Do you offer seniors discounts?+
Yes. We offer a seniors discount as our way of looking after our older customers. Let us know when you book.
Are you licensed and insured?+
Yes. QBCC Licence 53736, Gas Licence L91032 and Plumbing and Drainage Licence 15010990. Fully insured. All licence numbers are shown in the footer of every page.
How much will it cost?+
You will always know before we start. We quote upfront in writing after we have looked at the job, and we stick to that quote.
